Our hope is in the Lord- He is the one who makes things fresh. When we are weary, burnt out and tired the Lord will send seasons of refreshing. He wants us to grow in this new year.
Psa 92:12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, Psa 92:15 proclaiming, “The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
God expects us to grow, He has purposed that we grow. This passage suggests we are to grow a certain way, like a palm tree and cedar tree.
14The righteous will flourish like a palm tree. Righteous= just, lawful, Flourish:= God wants flourishing growth, abundant growth, spreading growth, break forth with bud, blossom
they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon
Cedar in Lebanon. = Spiritual Meaning of the Cedar Tree. The cedar tree has been revered for its spiritual significance for thousands of years. Its wood was used for the doors
of sacred temples and burned in cleansing ceremonies for purification.
A slow-growing species, it’s growth was slow but steady- anything that grows quickly is not natural but abnormal and non-sustainable This species usually reaches maturity at around 20 to 40 years old
Palm trees are tropical to sub-tropical plants that come in a wide range of shapes and sizes. They have a few anatomical characteristics in common, one which
are the leaves. The foliage of a palm tree is called a frond. Most palms grow fronds from the crown (or top) of the plant. Fronds can take three to five years to mature.
Fronds symbolize our adoration of the king Jesus since they were spread in the path of Jesus welcoming him as king. A 2:1 ratio of juvenile to mature fronds ensures that there
is a constant supply available to provide food to the tree.
2 Cor. 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
Psa 103:5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
The cedar of Lebanon can be remarkably long-lived, with reports of individual trees surviving for over 1,000 years the righteous can also claim a life longevity
Psalm 91:16 King (KJV) 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation
Col 2:6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith
as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 – But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots
by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. There are about 2600 species of palm trees,.
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. (James 3:17 NIV)
John 15:16 NIV You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last–and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
John 15:4-5“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine,
are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
Ezek 17:8 “It was planted in good soil beside abundant waters, that it might yield branches and bear fruit and become a splendid vine.”‘
Proverbs 12:12 The wicked man desires the booty of evil men, But the root of the righteous yields fruit they will flourish in the courts of our God they will bud and bloom in productivity and fruitfulness
They will bring forth fruit in old age your age does not determine your fruitfulness The vigorous growth, longevity, utility, fragrance, and beauty of these
noble trees, set forth the life, character, and destiny of the righteous;
They will still bear fruit in old age. I am claiming this promise for my life. Keep going to the Lord to be renewed, strengthened and healed. He is your source of life. Let’s grow in the Lord
